Indian Domestis Airlines

Indian skies are served by three domestic airline services namely, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Sahara Airlines. Alltogether , they make all the major cities and tourist destinations accessible.

INDIAN AIRLINES
Indian Airlines , together with its fully owned subsidiary Alliance Air, is one of the largest regional airline systems in Asia with a fleet of 56 aircraft, 11 wide bodied Airbus A300s, 30 Fly-by-wire Airbus A320s, 11 Boeing 737s and 3 Dornier D-228 aircrafts.

The Airlines is not only connecting the destinations in India but its network spans from Kuwait in the west to Singapore in the East and covers around 80 destinations - 64 within India and 16 abroad. The Indian Airlines international network covers Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain in West Asia, Thailand, Singapore, Yangon and Malaysia in South East Asia and Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Maldives in the South Asian Sub-Continent Infrastructure

Indian Airlines flight operations centre around its four main hubs - the main metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta and Chennai. Together with its subsidiary Alliance Air, Indian Airlines carries a total of over 7.5 million passengers annually.

JET AIRWAYS
Jet Airways , a private owned airline , was set up with the objective of providing high quality and reliable air travel in India. The motto of this airline is 'We don't fly aircraft, we fly people' . This led to a product and service design that aimed at world class norms in professional service and efficiency,

Since their commencement, they have also achieved the status of the largest private domestic airline in India. The figures speak for themselves - from 4 aircraft in 1993-94 to around 40 aircraft in 2002; from 12 destinations in 1993-94 to 41 destinations in 2002; from 24 daily flights in 1993-94 to over 250 flights in 2002. In the process, they have carved out a market share of 38% (estimated 1999-2000). Their emphasis on technology is one of the key factors of their success. They fly only Modern and Next Generation aircraft and maintain a young aircraft fleet (with an average age of less than 3 years as on Oct 2000), making them one of the youngest fleet in the world.
SAHARA AIRLINES
Air Sahara - The vast expanse of the sky is their domain. The people at Sahara believe in delivering the best to all their customers. It is this belief that is reflected in all their services. They are among the first to offer the Tele check-in facility to all their passengers. They cover around 13 destinations with 61 flights offering more than 8000 seats per day with a current fleet strength of 11 latest generations Boeing aircraft. To ensure smooth baggage handling, exclusive Valet Service is provided at all Sahara Airlines airport counters. Their In-flight services are built around total customer care and customer satisfaction.

It is their firm belief to uphold the highest standards of traditional Indian hospitality, culture and courtesy. Their highly trained personnel ensure that your trip is not only comfortable but also a memorable one right from the time of check-in.
